GAMING MEET! June 22 3 PM to 7 PM at @CephusKronos and @Playfulpup’s apartment at the Waterstone at Jenks complex (Building 11, not the main archway entrance but the one just south of it). There will be consoles, VR, and if you’d like to bring it, table top games! I know there was an interest in DnD so if you know how to DM or want to bring your figurine/dice set, we should discuss logistics before it comes up. Suiting is extremely welcome but ultimately it’s up to you. I am planning to make corn chowder (it has bacon relax), all I ask is that ya’ll bring sodas or chips if you like to snack on something real quick. There will be a dog and cat so if there are any allergies please let us know.

Is Fursuiting allowed? : Yes indeed! But remember guys it’s summer in Florida, PLEASE be safe if you suit.
ON DRINKING: Anyone 21 or older is allowed to bring alcohol. There will be one cooler with all alcoholic beverages and to add your drinks, your ID will be checked. To get a drink, your ID will be checked. There are no exceptions. Anyone found from the group with an alcoholic beverage that is underage will incur and instant ban from all OC 21+ events. NO. Ponce de Leon springs trip! Swimming, snorkeling and hiking fun, along with a fursuit photoshoot with some lovely scenery! This is also @OctoDexter's birthday bash!
Date: Sunday July 14th
Time: 9 am (flexible, no pressure to be there right on time!)
Go ahead and think about getting fins, water shoes (good so fins don't hurt your feet), mask or goggles, and a snorkel. If you suck at snorkeling like I do, a dry snorkel is great! It closes when you go under so it doesn't fill with water.
Snorkeling will allow you to get a glimpse of the karst cavern and feel the current of water discharging from the aquifer!
You'll also want to bring towels, sunscreen, a cooler with ice and drinks if you have one (we will bring two and have a lot of water, stay hydrated!), snacks/easy meals for picnic
There are hiking trails! Bring your bug spray, good shoes etc if you want to hike!
There is a $4 fee per vehicle if you're by yourself and $6 fee per vehicle with 2+ people to enter the park! Parking is limited so try to carpool!
The park is open from 8 am until sundown. We will plan on showing up pretty early to ensure we get parking, apparently the place gets packed pretty quick but hopefully a Sunday won't be as busy!
We will break for lunch/cake around noon. We can also dry off and have a fursuit photo shoot during this time! Then more swimming/hiking until people are ready to head home.

Open Coast Announcements
Welcome to Open Coast's first Gallery Night event! Gallery Night is a monthly public event in downtown Pensacola that offers a fantastic opportunity to fursuit outside in the cooler months! This month is Halloween themed of course, so dress up in your favorite costumes whether or not you're fursuiting!
WHEN: Friday, October 18th starting at 6:00. Artisan's Row closes at 9:30.
WHERE: Plaza Ferdinand on Palafox, downtown Pensacola
WHAT TO BRING: Besides yourselves and your suits/costumes, it is wise for any handlers to bring a backpack with water, snacks, etc if you need them! Trekking back and forth to your car for that is no bueno. Bring a change of clothes if needed - there's an option to stay for dinner after!
WHAT TO DO: Gallery Night is an event best suited to those interested in PUBLIC FURSUITING/PERFORMING. My experience suiting at Gallery Night has been fantastic with some conditions:
- DO NOT CLUSTER. We furries tend to do this and it makes us unapproachable to the "normies". Split up into small groups of 2-3 while suiting. Meander and interact! Don't just cluster and march up and down the street in an unstoppable herd!
- Avoid breaking the magic, if you can! Health is always the most important thing, but when public fursuiting you want to try not to get yourself to that point. There are lots of places to tuck out of the way and take a break and hydrate. Plaza Ferdinand will be our hub, it stays pretty quiet and there are places to sit.
- Handlers are important! Gallery Night is very busy and it's dark with lots of spotty lighting, so it can be extra difficult for suiters to see! If you don't have a handler planned out ahead of time, we will match you up with someone who isn't suiting.
- Look out for each other! While I've had great experiences at Gallery Night, there are a LOT of drunk people and there's always the chance of something going wrong. Pay attention to body language and especially if you aren't suiting, check in on the suiters from time to time.

2019 Annual Open Coast Potluck! Due to construction in our normal venue of Bayview Park, this year's potluck will be held at the Battery Worth Picnic Area in Fort Pickens.

LOCATION:
Fort Pickens is a historical Civil War fort on Pensacola Beach. The potluck will be held at the Battery Worth Picnic Area just outside of the fort itself.
MEETING PLACE:
Since the National Park has a $20 entrance toll, we will first gather at Park West (the venue for our annual beach party) at 1340 Fort Pickens Rd, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561. From there, we will carpool to the picnic area. Everyone please bring $5 to the event to help cover the toll for the designated driver.
CARPOOLING:
No more than 5 to a car. Anything beyond that will be an extra charge at the toll booth. ALSO, please keep the $1 cash toll in mind for entering the beach area.
FURSUITS:
Fursuiting is permitted at the fort. It is a great area for unique fursuit photos!
FOOD:
You are encouraged to bring some kind of food dish or utensils, but it is not required. If you plan on bringing food or supplies, please message @schandethompson with what you will be bringing. Side note: There are grills at the picnic area.

Fort Pickens is a historical Civil War fort on Pensacola Beach. The potluck will be held at the Battery Worth Picnic Area just outside of the fort itself.
MEETING PLACE:
Since the National Park has a $20 entrance toll, we will first gather at Park West (the venue for our annual beach party) at 1340 Fort Pickens Rd, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561. From there, we will carpool to the picnic area. Everyone please bring $5 to the event to help cover the toll for the designated driver.
CARPOOLING:
No more than 5 to a car. Anything beyond that will be an extra charge at the toll booth. ALSO, please keep the $1 cash toll in mind for entering the beach area.
FURSUITS:
Fursuiting is permitted at the fort. It is a great area for unique fursuit photos!
FOOD:
You are encouraged to bring some kind of food dish or utensils, but it is not required. If you plan on bringing food or supplies, please message @schandethompson with what you will be bringing. Side note: There are grills at the picnic area.

Our next trip is scheduled for Saturday, November 16th. We will be visiting locations where the Alum Bluff formation outcrops in the Yellow River near Crestview, Florida, and look for fossils!
Meeting place:

Welcome to Open Coast's Seacrest Wolf Preserve trip! Please review all of the following information:
WHERE: Seacrest Wolf Preserve is located at 3449 Bonnett Pond Rd, Chipley, FL 32428, roughly 2 hours drive from Pensacola.
WHEN: Saturday, December 7, 2019. Arrival time at 11 am CST. Tour begins at 1 pm CST. Do not arrive before gates open at 10:45 am, or after 12:30!
COST: $35 per person for the tour. Bring extra for photo op prints and the gift shop! Payment taken individually on site prior to the tour. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
RULES:
-Do not bring digital cameras or use your phone camera on site! Bring only disposable cameras, you can buy one there if you forget.
-Dress code must be STRICTLY ADHERED TO or you will not be let in. Closed toed shoes, long pants and long sleeves are REQUIRED. LOOSE FITTING and NO LEATHER (including leather boots). NO headgear or hoods. NO fursuits. Leave piercings out or be prepared to take them out if asked.
-Children must be aged 10 and up.

Welcome to Open Coast's Christmas Gallery Night event! Gallery Night is a monthly public event in downtown Pensacola that offers a fantastic opportunity to fursuit outside in the cooler months! This month is Christmas themed of course, so bring your ugly sweaters and santa hats!
WHEN: Friday, December 20th starting at 6:00. Artisan's Row closes at 9:30.
WHERE: Plaza Ferdinand on Palafox, downtown Pensacola
WHAT TO BRING: Besides yourselves and your suits/costumes, it is wise for any handlers to bring a backpack with water, snacks, etc if you need them! Trekking back and forth to your car for that is no bueno. Bring a change of clothes if needed - there's an option to stay for dinner after!
WHAT TO DO: Gallery Night is an event best suited to those interested in PUBLIC FURSUITING/PERFORMING. My experience suiting at Gallery Night has been fantastic with some conditions:
- DO NOT CLUSTER. We furries tend to do this and it makes us unapproachable to the "normies". Split up into small groups of 2-3 while suiting. Meander and interact! Don't just cluster and march up and down the street in an unstoppable herd!
- Avoid breaking the magic, if you can! Health is always the most important thing, but when public fursuiting you want to try not to get yourself to that point. There are lots of places to tuck out of the way and take a break and hydrate. Plaza Ferdinand will be our hub, it stays pretty quiet and there are places to sit.
- Handlers are important! Gallery Night is very busy and it's dark with lots of spotty lighting, so it can be extra difficult for suiters to see! If you don't have a handler planned out ahead of time, we will match you up with someone who isn't suiting.
- Look out for each other! While I've had great experiences at Gallery Night, there are a LOT of drunk people and there's always the chance of something going wrong. Pay attention to body language and especially if you aren't suiting, check in on the suiters from time to time.

Just because we can’t leave our houses, doesn’t mean we can’t get together! Join us for the first ever Open Coast Digi-Con! We have put together an entire Discord server as if it were a true convention! Complete with a dealer’s den, panel schedule, and scheduled events! Registration will begin at 11a the day of the convention. We hope to see you there!

Open Coast Announcements
Based on the current numbers, we’ve decided to postpone in-person events through the month of July. We will re-evaluate at the end of the month. Stay safe everyone!
